Catch-a-Cure:

DODGEBALL

March 30, 2019

Last day to sign up: March 23

Catch-a-Cure is an event put on by the UW-L Pre-Physician Assistant Club in order to raise money for lung cancer research. In the past, it has been an ice fishing tournament, but this year - think again - it's a DODGEBALL TOURNAMENT for you and all of your friends.

Lung cancer has been the leading cancer killer in both men and women since 1987. It causes more cancer deaths than colorectal, breast and prostate COMBINED. So what can you do about it? By participating in this tournament, 100% of the proceeds will go to lung cancer research through Gundersen Medical Foundation in La Crosse, Wisconsin. You have the ability to make a direct impact on this prevalent disease.

ThankYou

About the tournament:

Have fun. Fight lung cancer.

The tournament will be in Mitchell Hall on the UW La Crosse campus. It is only $30 per team, or $5 a person for a 6-member team and will take place throughout the day in a bracket-style format. The 1st place team will receive $150, 2nd place will win $100 and 3rd place, $75.

Throughout the day there will be concessions available, as well as raffle drawings for great prizes! You will have to be present during the raffle drawings to win. We also have t-shirts, drawstring bags and can koozies for sale that promote lung cancer awareness. All money aside from that given to the winning teams, from registration, concessions, raffle and apparel items will go to lung cancer research through Gundersen Medical Foundation right here in La Crosse.
